Suppertime!

A lazy day today but not for T. He went off splitting logs for one of our friends all morning and returned home frazzled. Hopefully things will become less busy for him this week. He may even go down to Devon to stay with N's old aunt for a couple of days. She is like a grandmother to him and he can drive her about and take her to the pub for a meal and do odd jobs around the garden.

Here is a Hereford mother calling for her calf early this evening. The cows broke out last night when we were out, there is still a shortage of grass. Our neighbours noticed them and alerted T who was back from contract work so he put them in the paddock below the house where the grazing is fresh and then blocked up the hole in the hedge.
