Village Carnival
This evening was the carnival parade. The floats and individuals line up in a field at the top of the village to be judged and then the procession winds its way through the village ending up at the pub at the bottom where there will be a hog roast tonight. The turnout was wasn't bad for the village, about six floats drawn by tractors, some classic cars, a handful of individuals and lots of music and noise!
Here is the winning float belonging to one of the local farming families. Others included an American Wild West saloon with line-dancing, Glastonbury hangers-on, a couple of children's floats, a RNLI float. The WI didn't have one this year.
Now for the hog-roast!
