Angelic
Tristan sleeping is "angelic." It is so soothing for us!
This morning the three of us went out for breakfast. We hadn't been at the restaurant long when we realized that he was just being a pistol. He was sassy and obstinate. He is always so verbal that it takes a moment for the two for us to realize that he is not just "funning" us, but he is truly being cranky.
So when we left the restaurant to run a few errands and then realized that he had fallen asleep in the car, I said, "That's what was wrong at breakfast. He needed more sleep."
He wakes every morning just moments after 6:00. Most nights he is chattering himself to sleep after 9:00. Yesterday he didn't get a nap. So when he slept in the car for longer than a brief moment this morning, we just enjoyed the quiet. When he woke we stopped at the park to let him play on the swings.
Then in the afternoon I worked in the campus Writing Center from 1:00-6:00.
It's been a good Monday.
Good night from Southern California.
