These are seed heads which Jan is allowing to ripen, and then fire themselves into a lovely tracing paper holding pen.

I saw them today and thought they looked like a lovely fabric design.

She explained to me how they exploded from their holder, and that she would hear the odd ping now and then as a newly sprung seed hit the paper walls.

She then game me some fantastic home grown spuds, as she is off carbs. My (weight) gain. It is a plant paradise there at the moment.
