Gnarled roots
They've been clearing the path at the side of the railway line behind us this week. This has mostly involved chopping back loads of blackberry bushes that I'd had my eye on for a blip later in the summer (!), but they have also revealed this old fencepost covered in twisted roots. I spotted it on Monday, and went back today to capture it, as it seems they are also replacing the fence along the track as well, so this will probably be pulled up.
The sun has reappeared today. It's not too hot, just right in fact. But I'm not sure how long it will be here for, as the weekend is looking a bit mixed. I'm still waiting to hear from Mr A, who has had to make a statement in court today against the driver that caused a head on collision with him back in November. This person was charged with dangerous driving, and pleaded not guilty...so now it has gone to court. Clearly the police have evidence that he did in fact do something wrong, but unfortunately for Mr A, it means that he's had to go back over the whole thing all over again. I know he would rather try to forget it and move on. Roll on the weekend...!!!
