Cranes & Chains

Took my Mark 2 to the south docks. It being the weekend, there were few people in sight, though the inactivity and relative silence was always ghosted by the whine of not-t0-distant machinery. I fine the place oddly peaceful and felt at home nosing about the wharfs, abandoned cranes, the huge heap of scrap metal blocking most of the Pigeon House chimneys... I shot some film too, just impressions, the kind of odd little things I like to photograph; became excited by a dumped cushion (from an armchair or couch) bobbing below the quayside: aye, that's the kind of weirdo I am, most assuredly.
