Scaring The Starlings

Parked near the East Pier to photograph the starlings (they were clustering on these flowering shrubs, bowing the big stalks like heavy fruit, shredding the petals).

As I got out of the car I saw this kid scaring the birds; a bit annoying as I had been meaning to take more shots of them, but the boy made an interesting picture himself.

Afterwards took my camera for a walk on the pier, where I met this unusual character, Hugo, feeding the pigeons. I shot some film of him with my Mark 2. In fact, I got a bit obsessed with filming people on the pier, including a group of fisherman. Ended up spending a couple of hours out there.
