Slice of my Life

River Walk with Christine

We revisited the Deschutes River Trail this morning to look for the birds we identified yesterday--Belted Kingfisher and Spotted Towhee. We saw them on the wing, as well as several species of butterfly. I love the purple choral-root that grows in the forest. The river was running fast and noisy, which I love! We wandered through the underbrush and scaled several rocks, BUT--this lovely picture of my wonderful friend Christine won out--my knitting teacher, gardening teacher, blipping teacher, traveling companion, confidant, and all around great mentor.

We've had a great vacation!
