Pier Park
There are so many parks with piers it is hard for me to keep them all straight. Then you toss in the Grosse PointEs, and there is just no hope. Grosse pointe this, Grosse pointe that... Grosse pointe this with a park, Grosse pointe that with a park. Just number them already! Just kidding....for now ;)
Spent all day at the park with what was left of the relatives who were still in town and not back to work yet. Or were back to work, but happened to have been off for some part of the 9 hours we were there.
Not a ton of pictures, but a few good ones to choose from....sorry to those who didn't make the cut this time around, this one was just too pretty for me to pass up :D
Tomorrow afternoon we will start the trek back from whence we came. I think the shock will start slowly wearing off for a lot of us soon. There were a few relatives who didn't make it in this time around, and they were missed.
It was particularly strange not having Peter around these past few days. He was one of the few other cousins who tried to live "under the radar", and as the number in that club is dwindling, the hole he left behind feels big. It was always nice having another one who understands. Meaning that in our large gatherings of boisterous people, if you can sort of sneak away from the chaos, it is comforting to see there are others who like to take a moment to breathe before diving back in.
