easy breezy

Few days can qualify as the perfect summer day, but I'm starting to be convinced that they all fall in the month of July. Amy and I spent some serious girl time together today, laying on the beach basking in the sun, talking about boys of course. There was a serious breeze blowing the entire time, which was cool enough to deter us from going in the water until much later in the day. We read girly magazines, people watched, and belted out the top five songs that incessantly loop on the radio. We have picked up right where we left off and it's a beautiful thing.

When we returned, we came to meet Stephen for some dinner of the Chinese food variety. He is so charming and fun to be around and I am honored to show him off to my best friend. He lives up to every gushing episode I have involving him!

We were a bit nervous that our lingering at dinner with Amy would thwart Stephen's efforts to get his summer online course work done, but we joined efforts to listen to his industrial/organizational psych lecture and score him a 90% on his quiz! Sweet.

Some serious snuggle minutes were the final cherries on top of this seamless day. All this r&r will hopefully help me gear up to do some serious curriculum planning tomorrow. We'll see!
