The Corn Exchange
It's good to see the Leeds Corn Exchange back in business after major refurbishment, with lots of original small businesses being supported. It's a very blippable building especially when the weather outside is pretty dreadful. The ceiling always reminds me of a dirigible.
In the exhibition area at the bottom of the photograph was a very interesting display from a company calledShelter Box. They are based in Cornwall and their large green boxes are packed with everything survivors/refugees would need in the way of shelter if displaced from their homes due to natural or man-made causes, including a family tent, cooking equipment and mosquito nets. They are ingenious and very impressive, and cost £800 each. I'm going to pass the link on to our Principal as a possible focus for fund-raising in the future.
You need to look at this in large. Can you spot the giant tin soldier?
