Perfect paddling pool for this pooch!
A duller day but still warm. We set off for a walk up Dow Crag. After driving through Coniston and struggling to find the car park we eventually turned up a near vertical road and ended up in the right place! The track took us along Walna Scar Road and alongside Goat's Water. The climb was steady and the top was reached triumphantly. It's an interesting summit of a veritable crown of big rocks. After a picnic lunch we set off along the ridge cresting Buck Pike and Brown Pike before descending to the track leading back to the car park. A very satisfying 'round'. Then into Coniston where I was treated to an ice-cream and a snazzy pair of cropped walking trousers. Well earned!
