Pilates opening

After work tonight we were off to the opening of a Pilates studio. It's owned by the sister of a friend Ruth we'd not seen for years until Christmas. HEr and her other half Andy moved down to Brighton several years ago and, as happens sometimes, we lost contact with them. Until Christmas that is. We met up with Ruth then but unfortunately Andy couldn't make it at the time as he was ill.

This is the pair of them flanking Roz who has her back turned.

We got a call about a week ago saying they were up for the opening and did we want to meet up with them at it. It was great to catch up with them. We spent a while there then headed for some dinner with Andy (Ruth had to hang about as she had lots of family due to appear). Hopefully we'll see them again before they head back down on Monday.

The studio itself was great. It's in a place called Attic Salt on Thistle Street Lane which is also a gallery. There is a large space for mat work then a smaller equipment. I have to confess until I saw it in use it looked more like torture apparatus then something to excercise on. If you're interested in Pilates it's worth a look.
