In Between Days

Well it did rain but not constantly as originally forecast. In fact, between the heavy rain it was really nice. After a lunch of soup and bread at the caravan we headed into Scarborough again and spent a few pounds on the two pence penny drop things. As well as coins dropping there are little toys and things which drive the children's gambling habits. You end up paying well over the odds but hopefully its worth it for the fun. They both got a little voodoo string doll thing.

Found that the Harry Ramsden's there cooks in vegetable oil and the chip fryer only cooks chips! So had some very nice chips with loads of salt and vinegar. Veggie heaven?

A dry spell in the evening so we decided to take the awning down. Film for the evening was Spiderman 3. Oh I should mention that I cooked a mushroom risotto which took way too long! This was partly due to L bringing along about twelve times more mushrooms than we needed and us not having a pan large enough to contain them all in one go. We've got a one pot recipe book somewhere.... If only the kids would eat a veggie stew.
