Green

It's not that easy being green...
having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
It's not that easy being green...
it seems you blend in with so many ordinary things.
Green...sung by Kermit the Frog

I used to like to watch Sesame Street with my kids. I liked Kermit. He used to have some important things to say...except when he was around that loud-mouthed pig. That pink piece of pork always tried to steal the scene when the two of them were together. I always thought they should have BBQ'ed her, and fed it to the two nasty old guys who sat in the balcony. (That may have been a little harsh.)

I also liked Bert and Ernie, because they seemed like normal guys, and Oscar the Grouch...which was like looking in a mirror. I also liked Grover, because that's who my kids liked. They missed the V's, so it was Groger.

Besides the pig...the ones I didn't care for...were The Count(annooooying), Cookie Monster(terrible eating habits and manners), and Big Bird. (I think it was the voice.)

This dragonfly was good at blending in. A beautiful shade of green. I know a lot of blippers are good at identifying the family and the species. I did make a short trip to Wiki-pedia, but gave up after 10 minutes. For every person who gives great facts...there also has to be the guy who states..."Here's a green one." I'm that guy.

Two days ago...I saw a giant blue dragonfly. I nicknamed him Mongo. Mongo was twice as big as the rest of the blue ones. He looked like an offensive lineman in the National Football Leauge. I WILL NOT REST UNTIL I GET A PICTURE OF MONGO!! (Wellll, maybe just a little power nap.)

I also finally saw a dragonfly eating, instead of being eaten. I never realized that they were meat-eaters. He was chowing on some unfortunate bug. He must have also used to watch Sesame Street. He ate like the Cookie Monster.
