Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

And the Elephants . . .

. . . and the elephants are kind of dumb fun!

We've been at the San Diego Zoo all day with little Tristan (our 4-year-old great grandson). It was a good day (for the most part). At one point it was obvious that Tristan needed a nap. At another moment it was obvious that Grandpa Fun needed a nap. We survived the zoo and then had a lovely late afternoon/early evening dinner at a very nice restaurant--the Top of the Fish Market (way too much money, but Grandpa Fun was satisfied). It was right on the water and we saw lots of boats--Tristan liked that!

At the zoo, we saw the elephants, the polar bears, the giraffes, the people and lots of living things, including the lovely plants and flowers. Tristan thought the playground near the Children's Zoo was fabulous. Honestly, all this high priced stuff is beyond him. Tomorrow -- well who knows, but we won't be going to Sea World to pay the high prices there. We'll just look for a playground and all will be well with the world!

Good night for a second time from San Diego!
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Tristan), aka Carol

P.S. If you think we are crazy to skip Sea World, check their website and the prices. Nay, we'll skip the trip there till he's older and understands it better.

P.P.S. I don't know what is oozing on the elphant's leg -- maybe an elephant-sized zit?!
