Ambition

So our cat had a kitten (probably several, but god knows where the others are) and she's been bringing it round to show it off to us. Super adorable. This isn't the best picture I took, but it's definitely the cutest.

Forgot to take any pictures over the weekend - definitely need to get into the habit. Anyway, train home from England was totally fine, smallest child fell asleep on me again but didn't pour fanta on me this time, so an improvement! A was babysitting that evening so decided couldn't be arsed to go out given how tired I was - a whole week of children? Don't know how parents do it.

Saturday A had to work in the day, so we met up with D at about 7 by the Pont des Arts. We sat on there drinking for a bit (Well, they were) and then got kicked off by the police - it's apparently interdit to drink there! These boys who were near us decided to befriend us and took us to the side of the river where it wasn't illegal to drink, or the police didn't check, or something. We sat there for hooours and then decided, with the boys in tow, to go check out this club called MadMaker - which we ended up not being allowed into for looking 'too tired'. We went to Hideout, where one of the boys abandoned us and we were left with his friend who was super irritating. I got dizzy after a while and ended up having to go outside - A followed me, then D, and then the guy came up and didn't see us, so we managed to get rid of him! A and I then got the nightbus home.

Sunday D invited us, with F, to go to a Chopin concert in the Jardin de Luxembourg. A and I are about as cultured as... a not very cultured thing, so didn't really want to go, but since A is going on holiday on Thursday, we decided she should really hang out with D as much as possible. We lasted two pieces and then had to go before we died of boredom. D and F stayed there so A and I went and sat by the Seine and ate crepes and enjoyed the brief sunshine.

Monday was the first normal day of the school holidays. Oldest child came back from her sleepover with a friend in tow and they spent the whole day playing and stuff. Wasn't too difficult, surprisingly, although her friend doesn't eat any vegetables so I spent the entire day wracked with guilt about not feeding her properly.
