Wheely good scarecrow

Rory liked the scarecrow with the bicycle wheel head. I thought he was the best scarecrow, too.

It was such a dreich day today and I felt so sorry for the Lambeth Country Show. Usually, Brockwell Park is packed with picnickers and folk enjoying themselves. Today it was full of people running into the craft and garden tents to avoid the torrential rain. There was hardly anyone in front of the two stages and most of the fairground rides were at a standstill. However, we had some cakes and tea, and bought some plants, while Fred had a swim at the Lido, which is usually quiet when it's raining, although if you're going to get wet anyway...

It was so dreich that we headed home to spend the rest of the day indoors. We ventured out to Café Rouge in the evening for a meal that wasn't as good as it should have been. My food was lovely, though, but mum's salad was rubbish. I won't head there again.
