Wednesday: Bridlington
Still camped out near Bridlington for our friend's 40th birthday. Actually, we are staying in a place called Nafferton which always make me snort in a really immature way!
This morning, we went to a nature reserve to look at nesting puffins which are in plentiful abundance at this time of year. In fact, you can hardly move for nesting puffins in July. We saw one puffin......that was all. The cliffs were spectacular though, and there were plenty of other seasidey type birds.
Then on to Bridlington to enjoy an afternoon in a very English seaside town - slightly run down but very quintessential. After fish 'n' chips, icecreams, spending too much money on slot machines, not making anything in return, and commenting on the number of mobility scooters in Bridlington, we repaired back to our cottage, exhausted from all the sea air.
Must dash - have I mentioned that there is a hot tub here?
