Flowering Torch Cactus

I planted this cactus back in mid-May and it seemed to take right away. I didn't even see the huge buds until yesterday - they seemed to come out of nowhere.

They will wilt by tomorrow, as all cactus flowers do....bloom for one glorious day.

The bees certainly liked these two flowers this morning. They were swarming them. If nothing else, Blip has gotten me over my fear of bees!
