Friday: The Fab Four

K., my partner, is from Liverpool, and my mother-in-law still lives up here.  I didn't know it at all until K. introduced me to it, and it is a city I have come to love.  To my mind, it has a huge amount of character, history and identity.  I think it also has a lot of similarities with my own home town of Newcastle-on-Tyne.  

So it only seems right to blip the Fab Four!  Actually, I really prefer The Rolling Stones but I am dedicating this shot to Jo8lens who I know is a fan of the Beatles.  K. thinks Liverpool needs to get over this Beatles mania!

We head back home tomorrow but have had a lovely few days away.  Still, more to look forward to - New York next week, and our summer holiday the week after that!  Work doesn't half get in the way sometimes!

And I must apologise - a factual error crept in to my write-up yesterday.  Hebden Bridge is of course in West Yorkshire, not Derbyshire......I obviously wasn't taking account of the boundary changes of 1825.......(phew - got away with that one!).
