Baallock the Ram

We are in Devon on holiday for a week!!
We arrived at 11pm last night, we're on a lovely Organic Meat farm renting a stone holiday cottage, it's lovely here, we've been here many times over the years.
We helped to collect eggs, pat pigs and feed lambs this morning with the farmer then the boys went fishing while I unpacked, there is a huge catch and release lake here and so many fish that they always catch something which they love!
After lunch we walked to the nearest village, a 90 minute walk up steep hills past lots of sheep and cattle and a wild boar farm!
It was on this walk that we met the rather impressively endowed Baallock!!!!! It didn't take us long to come up with his name ;-)
We had an enormous cream tea and a pleasant unexpected meeting with day-trippers Bill and Karen and their lovely little rescue dogs, they were so sweet to the boys and played Zebedee's Story Cubes with enthusiasm! The walk back home is mainly downhill and we ran into the Ruby Red Cattle which are beautiful!
The boys have made friends with some other boys of their age staying in another cottage and Max is taking photos of them playing with water bomb balloons, time to crack open the splishy splashy!!!

I have just heard that Amy Winehouse has died, what an immense talent she was, a flame that burned fast and bright, what a tragic loss to music but mainly of course to her family who must be devastated RIP beautiful girl x
