Chestnut

This tree is ancient and hollow so nobody knows how ancient it really is.

This morning we woke up to clouds envelopping us, lots of rain and a visibility of about 5 metres. Fortunately by the time we got out of the house (after lunch) these clouds had all but disappeared and we went for nice wander up the steep hill to see this chestnut tree. My former flatmate S is here to visit and it's lovely to be living with her for a short while again. There is just a lot of familiarity and it feels good and right.

Tonight I could see the thunderstorm arrive from across the valley, pretty impressive. It's now above us and the wind and rain are on the increase. No balcony floods though so I'm not worried.
