Over the Fence
As the afternoon blossomed, I realized that the view south across town was looking quite lovely. So I went to the upstairs deck and at the far corner captured this view, which includes a nice look into the neighbor's yard. A light breeze and mild temperatures caused this day to be nearly perfect.
Mr. Fun prepared dinner on the barbecue and just as we were about to dine on the patio table our daughter phoned to see what we were doing for the evening. Little Tristan is at their home currently and she thought we might all get together for dinner and after dinner a play in the park. With dinner so longer and option, we decided to reconnect by phone after we had all eaten to discuss getting together.
So 45 minutes later we phoned and they had decided to stay home to do storytime with Tristan and then get him to bed. Then we spent the remainder of the evening in the pool and spa.
This has been nothing short of a lovely southern California summer day.

P.S. When looking further into the photo the next, next door neighbor's place can be seen -- their extra drop-off below the yard is visible. Our drop-off is enclosed with chain-link fence; the previous owner's did that as a dog run. We never use it, but the top bar of the chain-link can often be seen in my photos. I have no idea why I thought I should explain that, but often when I blip our yard I think that someone might wonder what that extra fence is -- so now you know.
