Catseyes on the Cheviot
We went to our North Northumberland Northumbria Community group summer BBQ today. Held mostly on the nearby Holy Island of Lindisfarne, this year it was in the garden of our dearfriends, Alan and Sheila. They live in a farm cottage miles from anywhere, with views across to the Cheviot Hills, the last part of the Penine Chain, just a few miles south of the Scottish Border at Coldstream. I am not sure why and how Alan came by these discarded old catseyes but they make interesting garden ornaments!
