Swim meet

Another sultry day today with temperatures around 90 degrees. Due to extreme weather conditions, our power was off for almost three hours this afternoon <sigh>, and now, at 8:35 pm, a thunder storm is threatening. The thunder was so loud a few minutes ago that I felt the house shake around me. I'm thinking this heat spell has lasted long enough, but apparently it isn't about to end.

This afternoon we went to our youngest granddaughter's swim meet...the first we've been able to see this year. She swam the last leg of the final relay, and we were impressed with her speed and the power of her strokes. Way to go, Emmy!

Almost forgot to say...Thanks for all your kind comments and favs on my butterfly blip yesterday. They are very much appreciated.

Weather report: Hot and muggy...high around 90 degrees. Ergh!
