Gum Tree (deceased)

This shot was taken from the road about 50m from our gate. The land falls away into a steep gorge, covered in bush so this tree appears smaller than it actually is. It always looks dramatic, probably because it is dead. I'm not sure what killed it, it looks as though it could have been burnt, but if so all the bush around it has regenerated.
The Kerikeri inlet is in the background.
