One Day Like This

Summer in my garden

Although our city garden is quite stony, we do our best to make it as green and lively as possible. My mother, who has the greenest thumb of everyone I know, sent me some seeds in a postcard, with the suggestion to just randomly sow them in the troughs. I put them in the trough of our Viburnum Tinus, which just started to bloom today (or yesterday, but I didn't leave the house then...)

Now we have a tiny field full of flowers in our back yard. I especially love the corn flowers, so bright and blue and alive. And as you can see, there are still many more buds awaiting their full glory. They make this summer a real summer after all.
