HOLY ISLAND REFUGE

As the Coquet Island boat could not sail because of the wind and high seas, we took advantage of the tides and drove over the causeway to Lindisfarne, or Holy Island. And it was well worth it. A lovely little island, though as we had to leave again before the incoming tide cut us off, we did not have that long enough to explore.

On the way back I was allowed a photo stop to blip the refuge. There are two, one on the road causeway, a little hut on poles up a long, steep stairway; and this box on stilts along the line of marker posts for people wishing to walk across the sand to the island.

I had hurtled off down the road to take photos of the causeway refuge and only learnt later from G that this chap had come down from Edinburgh to take a photos of the marker posts. He had done this many times but today he thought he had at last got the right light.

Anyone recognise him? Is he a Blipper?
