Simple British summer time pleasures

Had a super afternoon at brockhole the Lake District visitor centre on the shores of Windermere. We had a picnic in the adventure playground and then a round of crazy golf.

I gave into to pleas for fishing nets (only £1.95 each) and it was down to the shore for paddling and hopeful fishing. Another little girl did catch a minnow in my son's net. Some big kids with a rod caught a perch which I put back!

Apart from the UV sun tops this picture could have been taken in any decade. Let's hope my kids get many more happy hours doing such simple fun thibgs
