End of an exciting day!

Light drizzle first thing this morning, so light it was barely noticeable, so decided to make a start on the garden. After a week away, it badly needed it! Dead headed the flower bed and borders and cut the grass then got the electric clippers to trim the edges and neaten round the slates. Nearly finished, time for lunch, not much more to go and YIKES! The end of my right index finger was trimmed too!

Luckily Mike was home, day off as he had to work Saturday, so he drove me to A&E! The lovely kind nurses cleaned and dressed it, gave me a tetanus injection and painkillers and then we went to the building merchants, so as not to waste a trip into town!! No, we had actually planned to nip in anyway!

The council building inspector did an unannounced spot check of our extension this morning too, and pronounced himself very happy with what Mike had done, so that was a great relief. It is really looking great, and coming on a treat.

The problem now is that I can't knit! Typing is a bit of a hassle, as is washing up, but knitting is out of the question until I get a smaller dressing on my finger. That will teach me - more haste, less speed!
