Where the Clarence meets the sea.

I went for a walk on the Yamba breakwall this morning in the beautiful winter sunshine - took lots of photos of guys fishing off the rocks but decided on this one. It is taken from the walkway leading to the Yamba wall, looking north to Iluka where you can seen the Iluka break wall in the distance. The river enters the sea through these breakwalls and it can be very rough going at times heading out through the bar in a boat. So rough at times that there have been a lot of boats lost on the bar and I refuse to venture out there any more. Hence I miss out on a lot of whale watching etc but I think I'm meant to be a land lubber. I do enjoy going up the river in the boat though.
