We'll gather lilacs....

When I was a child we had a double white lilac tree in the garden. It smelt wonderful when the flowers were out and I have loved the scent ever since.

We have always had one in our garden as a link to my childhood. When we moved last year we had to leave a lot of our plants behind but today we bought a double white lilac shrub.

We are not able to plant it quite yet as we still have some fencing to deal with but it won't be long! I do hope it takes and then we'll have a lilac in the garden once more! Aaah!
