NZ Fantail

This beautiful little fantail came into land on a post nearby me.
Beautie I thought.
300 shots later still did not have what I wanted.
As everyone knows they flit around everywhere, never still for a second.
I tried faster shutter speeds, to freeze his actions, but he was always facing away from the light so I could not get that glint in his eye, so I attached my flash, but that would not sync on a speed over 200, I tried manual, but that did not work unless I had a slow shutter speed. When I put flash in he would do a wee jump each time, so funny.
Need to go back and try again, and also need an aperture for a little more depth of field.
I still think he is a cute little bird.
