Oamaru

Left Christchurch today, and slid out of the garage with all the black ice and snow remaining. Treacherous to walk on.
Packed the car and Amber and R and I were away.
Bit different traveling with hubby and dog, cannot stop for photos when you want to.
I only took 5 all up (not like me), and that was while we stopped for some lunch at Oamaru harbour with the yachts.
Was so surprised that there really was no snow south of Christchurch by about 20 km, and only a little lying in shaded areas. The road was not a problem.
So now we are ensconced at Balclutha for a few days to catch up on Mum and family.
Guess what it started raining as we arrived, and we had had blue skies all the way.
Sorry I will not be commenting for the next few days.

PS I see I travelled down this exact day a year ago too
