Back Scratch

My sweet baby Monty, who I saved from death. He is the love of my life. Here he is having a good roll in the grass which is almost dead because of the heat wave.

Monty is a Shar Pei that was literally 4 minutes from death when I found him in the shelter. Everyone tried to convince me to not take him. He was sick and had almost no hair. Plus, he is a vicious breed (and his former owner named him Monster) so he is pretty much guaranteed to eat my face and have small children for dessert.

As you can see from the picture, he is the sweetest dog. Just out of frame is the 4 lb puppy I rescued the other day who kept jumping on his belly.

Monty does have many health issues but I would rather go broke than give him up. I wish for people to look past their misconceptions and media fed lies to see the dog and not just a bad breed.

I see my gentle, wrinkled puppy named Monty who I will love until the day I die.
