On a lovely afternoon such as today, one is quite happy curled up with a book. I took the bitch up over the hills this morning, which was lovely for her and a great adventure for me. So this afternoon I was content to have a nice long read of Dickens (he does write long books) and let Shep keep guard over the street. He likes that job - it's in his breeding, to watch out for wolves and bad men.
