Tunnel Vision

Shock to the kids system as we were up early to head east for a wee pony trek.

The rest of the family were on horses going along the beach, no one on it except the pony riders. I strolled along the beach picking up shells and stones and keeping Juno happy. Spotted 3 eggs in a sand scoped nest, probably left due to it being exposed on the beach.

We headed further up the coast to 'Gary's Beach', again no one on the beach and we wandered around the rocks and stacks. We found lots of caves through the stacks and we explored. This was possibly the best beach so far this week.

A packed lunch and another stroll along the beach, another family had taken up on the shore. We found a secluded patch and I had a wee naked swim, it was fantastic.

We headed slowly back to the cottage via a few crafty enterprises, eco mum got some pottery and Harris Tweed.

To finish of our journey we had some cake and drinks at the new local tearoom, fabby cakes and lovely people. We had a great chat as they used to live in Edinburgh but returned to the husband's home Island, good luck with your venture, great scones and cake.

Another cracking family day, quiet night with everyone as Juno is exhausted.
