Green and pleasant land

One of the beautiful local scenes I tried to capture when out sketching with the local art group today. I'd been by it several times in the past but have to confess I'd never really notice it before. That's the thing about learning to draw and paint - it really makes you take notice of everything around you. And at this time of the year there is plenty to admire in the English countryside.
Later in the day, made some leek and potato soup - not from home grown veg this time but was still delicious.
