Waiting For A Tip Off
The first picking of Royal Burgundy beans! They'll be tipped in time for supper tomorrow. Yum.
A perfect day for gardening today and boy, was it ever time. Some pruning, some weeding, some thinning. There's a lot more to do because the front garden has gotten awfully shaggy. I know I've crammed it too full but it seemed as if the shrubs that make its spine would never grow. And now they have. Even the nest spruces are a substantial size. So it's time to trim up some of the deciduous shrubs into more tree like forms and remove some flowering perennials. And dig out the strawberries that I used for groundcover to give weeds some competition. There's very little exposed ground to cover now, finally.
