A Celebration Of Lilies

If that's not the right term for a group of lilies it should be. These are part of a row of lilies fondly referred to as "George's lilies" after the friend of a friend who gave them to me. When he moved from his house to a condo several years ago he gave D buckets of unsorted lily bulbs. She planted as many as she could and gave the rest (all small) to me along with his instructions that they shouldn't be allowed to bloom the first year. Curiosity nearly killed me that next summer but I did as I was told. And now they come up in a multi coloured swath that reminds me of fireworks.
