Messing About on the River.

Glorious weather, so we headed out of town to have a bit of a paddle on the Thames at Runnymede. Here's a picture of LOH doing all the hard work.
HaHa! She thinks I'm paddling too!
We got there quite early so the river was quiet, with the pleasure cruiser traffic yet to get going. Also the current here is not strong, so we spent a happy couple of hours just gently paddling along.
Runnymede is famous as the site where, in 1215, King John sealed Magna Carta, the first limit on the power of the crown. Therefore it has some claim to be the birthplace of democracy in England. I'll probably blip the memorial some time.

In other news, I'm happy to report that the kitten we found a week ago has been adopted by some friends & is settling into her new home!

Hope you've all had a good weekend!
