Calm evening

I've been busy with domestic tasks today so just had a quick walk through the village to deliver a letter. Earlier this summer the pelargoniums/geraniums were suffering a bit, but they seem to have recovered and all the borders, pots and hanging baskets are blooming well now. The gardeners have used lots of these tall bullrush-like plants everywhere this year to add a bit of height to the beds. The last visitors were just leaving as I came in, the dog-walkers will be out soon and a few people are getting their barbecues going.
