And they're off!
We had our triathlon this morning. Neither of us slept well at all - must've been because we knew we had to get up at 3, can never relax and just rely on the alarm ;)
Off we set at 4, only to get a puncture in our friends' car. 11 mins of emptying the laden boot, changing a tyre, and reloading the boot, we were off!
Only then to be foiled near the Excel Centre by closed roads and no diversion signs - maps and satnavs only work if you can actually go on the roads they show you!
So M & I rock up 6.11, the time we need to be wetsuited up and in the swim start area..
I've never got ready so fast and been so un-anxious starting a race - or even so glad to jump into cold outdoor water and cool down!
The race itself was brilliant. I think I've broken a mental barrier and been able to properly think about racing, rather than just be happy to get around. Heck, I even passed some men - and on my third bike lap!!
Hoorah for doing fun things. Hoorah for sharing it with loved ones (fab team support....!!) hope you all had a fab Sunday ;)
