Plaid

I posted the preparation for this plaid last Wednesday and after 4 hours and quite a sore back Big Bertha was all warped up and ready to go. This is really just another sampler so have completed one section in plain weave and will do a few more in basket weave, rib and twill.

I'm really enjoying all the lessons I learn with every mistake, but there is nothing quite so satisfying than when all the warp is on the loom and it's time to start weaving. I love to watch the fabric emerge, and this time with colour and pattern too!

I wonder why in Star Trek they called it warp speed? There's nothing speedy about warping....
