Sketches

You've no idea how proud this picture makes me. Freya took a quick shot of her work as displayed in her studio inside the actual Glasgow School of Art.

Both my parents went to this illustrious school and since she was tiny Freya has always wanted to go. We started with a guided tour back in the Easter holidays, just now she has a week long drawing and painting class, and she has her sights set on the future and the grades and experience she would need if she wanted this to be her destination after high school.

I can't believe how much they've covered already, continuous line drawing, portraits, sketching, observation, tone, buildings, pattern and texture and they're not even half way through the week yet! She's absolutely loving it and is hoping we can get her enrolled on the Saturday classes from October - March.

I can't wait to see her work for real on Friday, until then this quick photo sketch will have to do.
