Plugging Away

By plugg

Goodbye yellow

We spent all day getting the sitting room ready for its quick lick of paint -

101 little bits of lego have been rescued and some rubbish has been thrown away. The woodwork has been washed down and filler put in the dents and cracks in the plaster.
What a grotty, grubby job that was. But tomorrow we can do the exciting bit, although I have been castigated (if that is the right word) by the children for my cautious choice of colour... Coastal Glow..
I am fed up with the cheerful, attention-seeking bright shouty yellow. I want walls that keep themselves to themselves and do their job discretely. If I want lively, cheerful and bright, I have three kids to provide that. This room is going to be somewhere to relax and enjoy some p&q.

Peace be upon you, blippers!
