Metropolis or Hospital?
As I was working in Wales today I was glad to have a bit of a lie in, only been back a week and the early mornings have started to catch up with me already. Down the Mumbles first thing to check a particular site out, as usual the lads were having a good old moan about this and that, and some of it was very fair. But to be fair they are extremely hard workers; they work in all conditions sun, rain etc, they've got to wear their PPE which in hot conditions like today can be quite hard work. And with the material they are using being in the hundreds of degrees, it only makes hot days worse. Back down Swansea tomorrow with them, although no fantastic views with this one as we're by the prison.
This afternoon I've been down the hospital in Cardiff, hence the blip, for a check up and in many respects it brings closure to a part of my life. In the years that I've been under their care, it was only the very beginning which was really dark times. Since then things have been great and I've been able to move on, but whilst the initial experience may have been unpleasant, I think it helped change me as a person for the better. I'll never need to go back to the University Hospital of Wales now unless I have any problems, or I move to Cardiff.
If you've never been to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff it is a sprawling metropolis with buildings all over the place, and they never seem to stop building new ones either. This is a shot of the main hospital itself from the multi storey car park; it doesn't really do the hospital justice in the terms of the scale of the site but it will have to do.
Just one final thought I'd like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses who?ve helped me over the years!
