My neighbours pears

One of Dutchoaks neighbour's pear trees, heavy with fruit, hangs over the beech hedge, dropping its fruit in Dutchoaks garden. The pears are delicious while they last!

I'm not sure what the law says. Can I use them or should I return them to my neighbour? Luckily my neighbour (with whom I have an excellent relationship) doesn't care a fig...

Update: I may use the fallen fruit. However: I have no right to pick the fruit of overhanging branches


Somewhere this week I'll make a "Tarte Tatin" using these pears, walnuts and ready-made dough I brought back from my favourite country, France.
