Perfect summer day

A calm day after yesterdays bad news....thank you for all your well wishes for my mom. She woke up today feeling pretty good, just a bit sore in the chest where the seatbelt tightened on her. No word on the other driver, still hoping he is okay.

A beautiful summers day today, a bit cooler with not too much humidity. We went with my sister-in-law and her kids to a local park to feed the ducks, have a picnic lunch, play on the playground then some swimming! We came home and did some chalk drawings on the driveway and are now relaxing before I head to work.

Jack was a happy guy this afternoon when his bus driver from school stopped by to say hello when she saw us outside! He was happy to hear she will be his bus driver again this year!

This photo is of Jack in the fields with his new Lego boat that he made. He was in his own little world, making 'boat sounds' and imagining he was in a huge ocean. It's not the best picture, but I loved the feel of it. Carefree and full of summer!
